When you open an account at an exchange through one of our links, the exchange pays us a commission. You pay the same as you would going there directly. That is the entire business model, and it is why there is no subscription: the cost of running the site is covered by the exchanges competing for the click, plus advertising on some pages.
The obvious risk with that model is that the highest bidder ends up at the top of the table. Ours cannot: exchanges are ranked purely on how much XRP you are left holding after the deposit fee, the trading fee and the spread, and the ranking code never sees whether a venue pays us. Exchanges we earn nothing from are listed alongside the ones we do. How we rank explains the arithmetic, and the affiliate disclosure spells out the relationships.
What we will never charge for
- Reading a live or historical XRP price.
- Comparing exchanges, including the full fee and spread breakdown.
- The converter, the DCA backtest and every other calculator.
- Any guide, explainer or glossary entry.
If that ever changed, it would be announced here first — but the commitment is simple: the information stays free.
Pricing questions
Is Guide to XRP really free?
Yes. Every page, price, comparison and calculator on this site is free, and there is no paid plan to upgrade to. Nothing here is behind a paywall, a trial or a metered limit.
Will you start charging later?
No. The site is funded by affiliate commissions and advertising, which means the people who fund it are the exchanges, not you. That model works at any traffic level, so there is no point at which we would need to put a price on reading a price.
Do I need an account?
There is no account to create and no email to hand over. You compare here and open an account on the exchange you choose, where your funds and your keys stay with you.
What is the catch?
Some links to exchanges are affiliate links: if you sign up through one, the exchange pays us a commission at no extra cost to you. That is the whole business model, and it never changes the ranking — exchanges are sorted by XRP received after fees, whether they pay us or not.
Do you sell my data?
No. We do not sell personal data. The site uses standard analytics to understand which pages are useful, and advertising may be shown; see the privacy policy for the detail.
