How Guide to XRP works
Comparison sites are only worth reading if you know how the ranking is produced and who pays for it. Here is both.
We read live exchange data
Prices come from the order books and public APIs of the exchanges we track, refreshed continuously. We show the bid, the ask and the spread rather than a single blended number, because the ask is what you pay.
We add the fees the exchange publishes
Deposit and card fees per payment method, trading fee tiers, and quoted spreads. This dataset is the reason the comparison is useful — a headline 0% commission means little next to a 2% spread.
We rank by XRP received, not price
For your amount, we subtract the deposit fee, then the trading fee, then the spread, and divide what is left by the ask price. Whichever exchange leaves you holding the most XRP ranks first.
You click through and we get paid
Some exchange links are affiliate links. If you sign up, the exchange pays us. It costs you nothing extra, and it does not move anyone up the ranking.
Why total cost, not headline fees
Three charges sit between your money and your XRP: what it costs to get funds onto the platform, what the trade itself costs, and the spread between the exchange's price and the market. Only the first two appear in a fee schedule. The third is often the largest, and it is invisible unless you compare the quoted price to everyone else's.
So we do the arithmetic instead of repeating marketing. Enter an amount on the comparison page and every venue is scored on the same basis: how much XRP lands in your account.
What we do not do
- We do not sell ranking positions. Affiliate status changes nothing about order.
- We do not give financial advice or price predictions. XRP is volatile and you can lose money.
- We do not hide the affiliate relationship — see the full disclosure.
Where the data can be wrong
Exchanges change fees without notice, promotional rates expire, and our figures are refreshed on a schedule rather than instantly. Treat our numbers as a shortlist and confirm the final cost on the exchange's own checkout before you commit. If you spot something stale, tell us and we will fix it.
