Destination tag
A number that tells an exchange which customer an incoming XRP payment belongs to.
Exchanges pool customer XRP in one ledger account, so the tag is how they credit the right person.
Sending to an exchange without the required destination tag is a common way to lose access to funds — always include it when the deposit page asks for one.
