Ripple's US dollar stablecoin, issued on the XRP Ledger and Ethereum.
RLUSD launched in late 2024 as a dollar-denominated settlement asset for Ripple's payment products.
It complements rather than replaces XRP: RLUSD holds a value, while XRP is the asset used to pay ledger costs and to bridge between currencies.
